Anybody reccommend a good and current blues/rock, like the white stripes but a little more bluesy?
Answers: Chris Cain is one of the best around. Also, the Shane Dwight Band, the Lara Price Band, & Jackie Green, amongst the younger set. Old time, old school, you can't beat Charlie Musselwhite, Little Charlie & the Nightcats, Elvin Bishop, Joe Louis Walker, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, John Mayall, Guitar Shorty, & Roy Rodgers - all going strong in their 50's, 60's & even 70's (Mayall & Guitar Shorty).

Try the Black Keys. They are also a 2-man band. They are from Akron, Ohio but are heavily influenced by Mississippi Hill Country Blues artists like Junior Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside. They actually recorded their first demos in the drummer's mom's bathroom. He sat on the toilet and set his drums up around him while the guitarist stood in the bathtub. Apparently they liked the acoustics of that bathroom. Anyway, these guys are really good and stick to blues a little more than the Whte Stripes, though I've seen both bands live and love them both.

Try listening to 1.FM Blues for a while. That's what I usually listen to, and I think its pretty good. Its on Apple iTunes radio, under Blues . I'm listening to it right now!
