What is this Borders Rewards Perks program exactly, and is it worth registering for it?
Question: I keep getting ads through Borders rewards to join this perks program, but you don't get a lot of details about it on Borders' website, it just tells you to sign up and that you'll save money with selected merchants (no list provided). Anyone signed up and have thoughts?
Answers: This happens when you give them your email address when you buy something from their store. It is not exactly useful unless you shop at Borders a lot.
I have never heard of it, but I wouldn't unless you want a bunch of spam or crap emails. Those selected merchants will probably email you once or twice a day with offers that arent such great offers....You can easily accumulate about 50 emails a day or more...I would ask around and find out more, like their privacy policy...
After reading this article http://publications.mediapost.com/index.... it seems that all you're getting are offers like 10% off Brooks Brothers or free FedEx shipping. I can easily just google for coupon codes when I actually need it. I'd rather not sign up for yet another program that will share my information, and I definitely don't need extra emails every day. I'm passing.
